Conferon has just completed an acquisition of the event planning organization, Cramer Events Management, a team of 36 meeting and registration professionals located in the Boston area. Cramer Event Management has business partnerships with some of the nation’s most prominent technology companies. Their list of clients includes Lotus Development Corporation, Sybase, Progress Software, Mercury Interactive, Business Objects, Rational Software and many others.

Cramer Event Management, the event planning division of Cramer Productions, a leader in event staging and presentation a/v services, was formerly known as J. R. Schuman Associates.

“We are excited about this acquisition because of the incredible team at Cramer Event Management. Their reputation for ethics and exceptional quality matches perfectly with Conferon’s culture,” said Bruce Harris, Conferon’s President & CEO. This team will become Conferon’s Northeast Regional office. Cynthia Hornketh will lead the group as Director/ Northeast Region while Bob Bevan heads up the meeting/event planning services and Julie Martin leads the registration operations. On the registration side, Cramer provides a high quality corporate registration web technology that is currently being used to help many high tech user groups.

Conferon’s Northeast Regional office will continue to expand in the high-tech marketplace while new efforts will be made to grow the northeast association client base. “Conferon has a great opportunity to assist major associations and corporations located in New England; Our Boston colleagues are uniquely qualified to support these organizations,” said David Peckinpaugh, Conferon’s Vice President of Sales.

“Our goal is to establish more regional offices near existing and potential clients. We continue to look at other areas of the country where exceptional companies like Cramer Event Management are serving clients. We know through our expansion strategy we can offer better service to both our client and supplier partners,” said Harris.
