Conferon Profile There have been lots of exciting activities to report in this special 30th Anniversary year for Conferon. Here are some of the major accomplishments or important items to look for yet this year that may be of interest to our customers, prospects and supplier partners. Convene Magazine, September, 2000 - Conferon Guide to Meeting Management Conferon has written all of the content for this special publication. We are sharing with the industry most of our formulas and processes that have helped make Conferon the industry leader. Don't worry, we are holding a few things back to keep our competitive advantage. :) Partnership Updates - We are very pleased to announce that Radisson and Disney have been added to our growing list of hotel partners by signing five-year agreements with Conferon. Fairmont has been added to the fold through their merger with Canadian Pacific. Marriott has recommitted for another five years and is on board through 2005! Each of our five-year partners has been invited to participate in a tradeshow during our Annual Meeting in Tampa at the end of August. CIC Manual - The Convention Industry Council (CIC) has requested that Conferon assist in editing and writing the sections on Hotel Negotiations and Meeting Room Setups for their CMP handbook. Bruce Harris, President & CEO, is providing the copy. This is the primary handbook used in preparing to sit for the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) exam. Conferon President's Award of Excellence - Michael Guerriero, CFO, AnnMarie Branagan, Sr. Meeting Manager and Fran Robinson, Director of Administrative Services have been added to this elite group of Conferon professionals. Congratulations! Regional Office News - The 2nd Annual Conferon Classic will be held on September 28th from 5pm-8pm at La Rumba in Denver. This year's theme is SALSA. Guests will enjoy SALSA lessons from La Rumba’s experts and then be able to dance the night away while raising funds for the Denver Rustler’s Kid's Cafe. Last year over 150 participants helped raise $4,300 for Kid's Cafe during the SWING themed event. Our Denver Office hopes to top this mark in 2000. The Kid's cafe serves over 85,000 nutritious meals annually in 6 locations. Please contact our Denver office for more information. St. Louis: On September 19th, the 4th annual T2 Golf Outing will be taking place at the Whitmoor Country Club. This outing is a celebration of the relationship between Conferon, our clients, and suppliers. On September 20th, the activities will continue with education on industry trends at the Marriott West Hotel. Contact our St. Louis office for more information. Chicago: As of August 14th, our Chicago office will be “moving on up”... to the 3rd floor that is. Our address will be the same, but our new suite number will be Suite 375. This is about a 50% increase in space from our previous location and will allow us to continue our growth plans in this important market.
