Wall of RecognitionA distinctive area of Conferons new headquarters is the Wall of Recognition which is located just outside the Boardroom. We are very aware that our growth and success was not the result of our work alone. Many people and organizations gave us support and guidance when we needed it most. The wall recognizes 11 people who are now retired from the position they held while working with Conferon. Each of these individuals was honored at one of the four open-house events that commemorated Conferons corporate expansion. This wall is graced by plaques engraved with their faces and contains a special tribute to each. The honorees we thank are as follows: Bob and Bea Harris Board Members, original partners and parents of Conferons President, Bruce Harris Jim Mockler Retired Vice President of Parker Hannifin, Conferons first client and still a Conferon client. Dr. Léon & Katie Danco Leading consultants on family business whose advise and business direction was critical to Conferons success. Ed Kalail -- Retired Director of Marketing for General Tire, steadfast supporter of Conferons ethics and ideas. Mary Ann Langholtz Retired Executive Director of National Fastener Distributor Association. Conferons first multi-meeting Association client and our Grand Lady of meetings. Charlie Carpenter Retired Director of Marketing for the Glidden Company. His flair for the creative and drive for perfection lifted this companys standards. Paul Astleford Former Vice President of Hyatt Hotels, Paul authored the first ever supplier agreement that guaranteed Conferons rates to be as low as or lower than our clients could get on their own. Ed Langer Retired Managing Director of ASM International, Ed and ASM gave Conferon credibility in the mega-meeting market. Each of these honorees received a token of Conferons appreciation. We, also, wish to thank the Cleveland Convention and Visitors Bureau and Continental Airlines for hosting a Fam trip to coincide with our open house activities. |
