Leslie Maneely, CMP - Meeting and Event Manager in our Denver office, is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. Leslie has been with Conferon since May of 1989. Her background includes various hotel positions including Catering Manager, Convention Services Manager, Front Office Manager and Sales along with owning her own business and was also a flight attendant for Delta Airlines. Leslie is a member of PCMA and serves on the Network for the Needy committee.
Wanda Kovacs, CMP - Meeting and Event Manager in our Cleveland office, and joined Conferon in April of 1990. Wanda, a native of Lead Hill, Arkansas was a hotel Director of Sales in Oklahoma City prior to moving to Ohio. The funniest event that Wanda has planned was a Honeymoon in Las Vegas party at Bally's. The reception began at the pool area with flying Elvi landing next to the hotel and then the party continued in the ballroom with more Elvis impersonators. Wanda has two wonderful stepchildren and a brand new baby girl. She is also one of our first Account Planners to telecommute several days a week.
Marlene Burle, CMP - Account Manager in our St. Louis office, has been with Conferon since December of 1995. Prior to joining Conferon, Marlene earned a bachelors degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Missouri and was a Meeting Coordinator for five years. Marlene is a member of SLAMPI (St. Louis Area Chapter of MPI) and has served on the Welcome, Education and Membership committees. A native of the St. Louis area, Marlene recently bought her first home and enjoys decorating her new place when she isn't working, playing softball or water skiing.
Ping He, CMP - Manager, Meeting and Event Operations in our Chicago office, has been with Conferon since April of 1993. Ping was born and raised in Shanghai, China and moved to the United States in November of 1989. She has a bachelors degree in English and American literature and a masters degree in Convention Management from WIU. Ping is a member of MPI and is on the steering committee of several of the associations for which she is the planner.
Amy Henderson, CMP - Manager, Meeting and Event Operations in our Washington, D.C. office, has been with Conferon since November of 1996. Amy, a native of Rocky Mount, VA, graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a BS in Marketing Management. Amy is a member of PCMA and Northern Virginia Association of Meeting Professionals. She has served on the Board of Directors and was the 1996-97 Outstanding Meeting Professional for the Northern Virginia chapter of AMPs. She was nominated for the ACOM (Association for Convention Operations Managers) 1998 Executive Excellence Award.
Brenda Houlihan, CMP - Meeting and Event Manager.
After graduating from Worcester State College, Brenda has worked in many different areas of the meetings industry. From Comdex to working as an Event Manager for Interleaf, a software company, Brenda possesses over 12 years of meeting planning experience. Brenda graduated in May 1997, from Anna Maria College with her MBA and looks forward to putting her education to good use for her clients. She was able to put her education to good use for Cramer/Conferon and received the Cramer/Conferon Achievement Award in 1999. Brenda has been an active member of ASAE. In the future, Brenda hopes to teach at the collegiate level in a program concentrating on hospitality and meeting planning
